A personal note from your Webmaster: my son is graduating this year and he is my youngest so I will not be here next year. We need someone to take this web site over. Please contact PTSA President Janet Norling if you can help! Thanks to everyone who has supported my efforts to assist communication between home, school and PTSA over the last four years (and even longer in many cases). My life has been enriched through the many wonderful people and experiences PTSA has given me. I wish everyone the best! Madeleine (added 5.22.10)

Exciting news! Our PTSA newsletter, the Raven's Call, won the Newsletter of the Year award at the Michigan PTSA convention. Madeleine Taylor is our editor and has been for the past four years. Our newsletter is a valuable resource as it goes out to ALL parents. (The position is open if anyone is interested as Madeleine's youngest is graduating.)
The second award won by a very deserving member of our PTSA was state MEMBER OF THE YEAR, Madeleine Taylor! She has been making sure that the communication with the parents, teachers, administration and School Board is ever-present and has done newsletters and websites at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She has also acted as PTA Treasurer many times, in addition to many committees.
CONGRATULATIONS MADELEINE!
The state PTA of Indiana judged the Michigan awards.

Many solutions are being sought to continue ensuring the safety of our school. If you would like to volunteer to help, please contact Jan Nelson at nelsonj@royaloakschools.com.
