ABOUT US
The Royal Oak High School PTSA is a partnership of parents, teachers, students and community members dedicated to helping our students have the best educational experience possible. At Royal Oak High School organization. At the middle school level, we’re not the PTA you’re used to at the elementary level, but we are still active and very involved in your student’s education. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Media Center at 7pm (unless otherwise announced). Come see what we’re doing these days and provide your ideas and feedback!
The PTA is a part of the community that is Royal Oak Middle School. Our role changes at this level and we often find our role as supportive rather than planning and executing. We sponsor and support many activities at ROMS.
Here are a just a few ways we help:
Parent involvement is important at the middle school level and we have many ways that you can volunteer! By working together, the PTA can provide support and activities for the students and teachers of ROMS.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED PTSA BYLAW CHANGE
A Motion was made at the February PTSA meeting on Monday February 22 to amend the Royal Oak High School Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA),Bylaws. This proposed change will be voted on at the March 28th meeting.
Article VII, Section 3.d currently reads:
A person shall not be eligible to serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office.
Article VII, Section 3.d PROPOSED language:
A person shall not be eligible to serve more than three one year consecutive terms in the same office.
Article IX: Executive Board, Section 1.c currently reads:
The members of this board shall serve for a term of one year and shall remain in office until their successors assume office. No person shall serve more than two years in the same position on the executive board.
Article IX: Executive Board, Section 1.c PROPOSED language:
The members of this board shall serve for a term of one year and shall remain in office until their successors assume office. No person shall serve more than three one year consecutive terms in the same position on the executive board.

The Royal Oak PTA Council is a coordinating body that promotes communication and cooperation among the eight ROSD PTAs.
