Parents:
New Student Information System for 2011-12
June 6, 2011
Dear Parents/Guardians of Students in the School District of the City of Royal Oak:
Accessing your student’s grades and attendance online is about to get much easier! Royal Oak Schools is pleased to announce that, beginning with the 2011-12 school year, we will be replacing several separate parent and student online services with a single, integrated software package, Zangle Parent Connect and Zangle Student Connect.
You will no longer have to keep track of separate passwords for food service, parent contact information, student grades and attendance! You will be able to access this information for all of your children, all in one place, using a single password. Students, using Zangle Student Connect, will have access to view their grades and attendance using their own unique password.
Zangle may look new to you, but it will provide the same valuable information about your student’s grades and attendance that you are used to getting from Royal Oak Schools. Zangle will also provide you with news updates, email notifications, and emergency phone alerts.
Next school year, you may discard your current passwords for P-Link, ParentWeb, and PIV. Your new Zangle password -- and more information -- will be sent to you to the address on file via US mail in August. Contact the School District (248) 435-8400 (X1217) if you do not receive your password by August 31, 2011.
If you have questions, or want to know more about Zangle, please contact Virginia Meeks at (248) 435-8400 (X1217) or Kevin Kurkowski at (248) 435-8400 (X1242).
Thank you for your patience during the conversion to the improved Student Information System in Royal Oak Schools.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Goodgine Executive Director, Administrative Services & Technology
(added 8/7/11)
