Summer rehearsals will take place at Oakridge Elementary School as ROHS will be closed for the summer.
All students are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Some of you may have summer plans to go on vacation, attend camp (Blue Lake), etc. This is acceptable, if prior notice is given. Please send those dates to Mr. Foreman ASAP so he can plan rehearsals accordingly. All students, however, must be present for the August 20-30 rehearsals, as they will be our “band camp” before our first performance on the 30th.
In short, you need to make a commitment to being in the band. If you are going to make missing or coming late to rehearsals/performances a habit, please do not sign up for marching band. We spend too much time and money on producing the best marching band possible. Your dedication to the band is imperative to the success of the season. If after you have changed your mind after seeing this schedule, you need to make that clear, now.
If you have any questions, please contact me through e-mail - foremant@royaloakschools.com
