  11. New Business:
    • Cheryl Goodine-Executive Director for Administrative Services is looking for any questions or ideas to use during the ROHS Principal search.  If you have questions or concerns, please let Candy know.
    • Dancing at ROHS events: There is some concern expressed by parents regarding the nature of “dirty dancing” done by students at ROHS events. Mr. Neville expressed concern as well-conclusion is that there needs to be announcements made to students regarding the appropriate dances.  Needs to be more instruction for chaperones.  Put into place “face to face and leave some space”
    • Concern expressed by a parent on the sound level of music at a dance held after the football game
    • Concern expressed by a few parents about delay or non-communication of important dates. Mr. Neville advised that ROHS is experiencing some “bumps in the road”.
    • Candy reminded all that the transition to one high school has gone pretty well.  That there are bound to be issues that come up and things done previously at Kimball or Dondero should be used as reference. This is a new school and a new way of doing business should be considered by staff, students and parents.  Encourage positively!
    • Diane Dovico from the Royal Oak Community Coalition (f/k/a Prevention Coalition) passed out information on upcoming events sponsored by the Coalition.
    • Candy reminded everyone if you are interested in participating in the Royal Oak Save Our Youth, please let her know.

Respectfully submitted:
